  1. It’s time to rise and shine for Ben’s Big Breakfast! On World Mental Health Day, 10th October

    Posted on

    • Ben’s Big Breakfast returns for 2022, raising vital funds for automotive community
    • Host a breakfast morning at your workplace and bring, bake, make and sell a breakfast spread to raise money
    • Big Breakfast is an opportunity for colleagues to connect and check in with each other

Following the huge success of last year’s Big Breakfast event, Ben, the automotive industry charity, is bringing the nationwide fundraising initiative back for 2022, aiming to raise even more life-saving donations to support those in the automotive community who are struggling or in crisis.

The week-long event will kick off on World Mental Health Day, 10th October, the perfect excuse for colleagues to connect over a coffee, catch up over a croissant or bond over a bacon butty.

Companies are invited to host a Ben’s Big Breakfast event from 10th-16th October and encourage their team, customers, friends and family to bring, bake or make a delicious breakfast spread, selling their goodies to raise money for those in our automotive family who need Ben’s help. Ben will also provide a Ben Bear to those hosting a Big Breakfast to raffle off and boost the fundraising efforts.

Matt Wigginton, Director of Partnerships, Engagement & Income at Ben, said: “It’s official. The automotive industry loves a breakfast. Over 200 locations took part in last year’s inaugural Ben’s Big Breakfast – an unprecedented amount – so we knew we had to bring it back in 2022 and aim to reach even more automotive businesses!

“The Big Breakfast is such a simple way to raise funds, but it’s also an important reminder to check in with our colleagues. Having a chat over a cup of coffee in the morning could make such a difference to someone’s day without you even realising it. Often, people are suffering in silence, thinking that nobody has noticed or cares about them. A small gesture like catching up over a cuppa could change that. It could be the first step to them opening up, or reaching out to Ben for help.”

To find out more about Ben’s Big Breakfast 2022 or to sign up to this year’s event, visit https://ben.org.uk/get-involved/individual-and-corporate-events/ben-s-big-breakfast/

When any member of our automotive family is struggling or in crisis, we all rally to support them.

Indian Motorcycle has launched an initiative aimed at incentivising owners to get out and ride more this summer, with the introduction of the Indian Motorcycle Rally programme.

With entry available to any existing Indian Motorcycle owner, and as part of the brand’s Indian Motorcycle Riders Group, owners who participate are challenged to visit all 20 UK and Eire dealerships up until Nov 30, gaining stamps on their unique Indian Motorcycle Rally Passport, recording their journey mileage with a national ranking to reward the highest number of stages and miles completed.

Indian Motorcycle owners interested in participating can register for free on https://indianmotorcyclerally.eu/UK/discover.php, then log each of their journeys after receiving their Indian Motorcycle Rally passport (provided by the local Indian Motorcycle dealer) via a stamp at each dealership visit.

The Rally is open to owners of all Indian Motorcycle models who are also registered with Indian Motorcycle Riders (IMR) and runs until the 30th November 2022.

    • The Ducati Riding Experience season continues with the offer of three travel formats studied in detail to offer enthusiasts unique experiences aboard Ducati models
    • DesertX Expedition in Sardinia from 7 to 11 September, Multistrada Expedition between Italy and France from 29 September to 4 October and two appointments of the Dream Tour in Tuscany (14-16 October and 18-20 October)
    • Registrations are already open on the dedicated page of the Ducati.com website

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 10 June 2022 - Ducati reinvents the format of the organized motorcycle trip by presenting the DRE Travel Adventures programme, a series of proposals studied in detail to intrigue, entertain and excite motorcyclists. This project is further confirmation of the Bologna-based manufacturer's goal of continuing to enrich the lives of enthusiasts through memorable experiences on their bikes.

The first appointment on the calendar is with the "DesertX Expedition" from 7 to 11 September. Five days of adventure on the new DesertX on the beautiful roads of Sardinia in the company of a team of expert guides with whom you can discover all the details of the most highly-awaited Ducati bike of the year and refine your riding technique to enjoy the tour in safety. This experience will lead the participants to discover the splendid landscapes and traditions of Sardinia: an authentic motorcycle trip enriched by relaxing and sharing moments with the rest of the group, such as the boat tour among the most beautiful beaches of the island organized at sunset of the last day.

The "Multistrada Expedition", the format dedicated to the family of travel bikes par excellence within the Ducati range, is scheduled from 29 September to 4 October. The itinerary includes departure from Turin with arrival in France at the Verdon gorges for a route of over 1200 km along which the participants will visit various places of interest also from a cultural point of view, such as the city of Grenoble, Sénanque Abbey, Mont Ventoux and the Col du Galibier. Enthusiasts can choose to enjoy this journey and its breath-taking views riding the Multistrada V4 or the  Multistrada V2, models capable of combining comfort on long road journeys, fun in curves and handling even at low speeds and when manoeuvring, but also equipped with good off-road skills.

As part of the DRE Travel Adventures program, Ducati is once again offering the successful "Dream Tour" format. For 2022 the tour starts from Borgo Panigale with a visit to the Ducati Museum and the production plant. After this visit to the company, the participants will leave for a 3-day trip organized among the landscapes of the Tuscan-Emilian hills (Italy), combining the pleasure of travelling by motorbike with great food and discovering the land. The appointments already scheduled with the Dream Tour are set from 14 to 16 October and from 18 to 20 October.

Registrations to participate in the appointments with DRE Travel Adventures are already open on the  dedicated page of the Ducati.com website. The calendar is constantly being updated with new adventures around the world in coming.
