  1. FERRARI E MANTOVANI TO RACE UNDER INDONESIAN E-RACING GRESINI MOTOE BANNER

    Posted on

Pleasant confirmations and new arrivals for Team Gresini MotoE, who from this season onwards will be investing on young and Italian riders, with the key support of new title sponsor Indonesian Racing, who after Moto3 and Moto2, they further reinforce a relationship with the World Championship and Gresini Racing. The first electric team waving the Indonesian flag is therefore born, and it will be named Indonesian E-Racing Gresini MotoE.

The new ‘electric’ line-up of Team Gresini has been confirmed, as the Italian squad places their hopes once again on young Italian riders. The new season will resume from the confirmation of Matteo Ferrari: the 2019 World Champion and 2020 series runner-up will be at the starting blocks of the new season, with the goal to remain at the sharp end of the series and try to reclaim the MotoE crown.

Andrea Mantovani will be at Ferrari’s side. The 26-year-old from Ferrara lands in MotoE from the Italian Championship of Speed (CIV) – Superbike category – and he will test his skills for the first time with the Energica Ego Corsa machine. He will race with the number 9.

The first test of 2021 will take place in about one hour at the Angel Nieto Circuit of Jerez de la Frontera (which will host the season opener).

  2. The Last Goodbye to Fausto

    Posted on

The last goodbye to Fausto Gresini will take place tomorrow at Imola, privately. He passed away last 23 February at 60 years of age.

Unfortunately, it will not be the type of send-off ceremony we all wished for our beloved Fausto, given the current restrictions caused by the ongoing pandemic.

As Gresini Racing, and after agreeing with the family, we decided however to stream live the ceremony, to allow everybody to take part in this last farewell.

You can follow the live streaming at Facebook/GresiniRacing this Saturday from 10am.

  3. CIAO FAUSTO ❤️

    Posted on

The news we would have never wanted to give, and that unfortunately we are forced to share with all of you. After nearly two months battling against Covid, Fausto Gresini has sadly passed away, few days after turning 60.   Fausto Gresini

All of Gresini Racing are close to Fausto’s family in support: his wife Nadia and the four children Lorenzo, Luca, Alice and Agnese... as well as everyone who had the chance to get to know him and love him throughout the years.
  4. Gresini Racing's 2021 Moto3 and Moto2 projects unveiled

    Posted on

It was presented today – for the first time streamed live – the new Gresini Racing projects for Moto2 and Moto3. A surely unusual one, as it was missing its key piece: Fausto Gresini, who is still tackling a long recovery in hospital (started at the end of 2020) due to Covid-19.

While his presence was surely missed, this did not stop Team Gresini from continuing preparations for the Team Principal’s two most-dear projects. Two very different projects, but with a common denominator in the Italian-Indonesian flag for both classes – thanks to the partnerships with MP1 and Federal Oil.

The newly born Indonesian Racing Team Gresini Moto3 surely took over the scene with a radical change both in colours and graphics. A new red-and-black colour combination that will surely stand out on the quarter-litre class grid and two fast and experienced riders, ready to get in the mix at the sharp end of the field – of one of the most competitive classes on two-wheels.

Both Jeremy Alcoba and Gabriel Rodrigo have been training over the winter: the 2020 Rookie of the Year, who claimed his maiden world championship podium last year, is eager to consolidate his performance and growth while gravitating around the top-three, while the Argentine will try to turn his fortunes around – with the Moto3 that has to be a realistic goal for him.

  5. UPDATE ON FAUSTO GRESINI’S CONDITIONS

Slow but continuous improvements on the state of health of Fausto Gresini, always hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Maggiore Carlo Alberto Pizzardi hospital in Bologna.

Here is today’s s statement by Dr Nicola Cilloni: “Fausto's clinical condition slowly continues to improve. For more than a week now without fever, rehabilitation is making progress every day, even if the path ahead is still long. He is still helped by the breathing machine, but he is also working on it, trying to recover the strength to do it alone. He manages to make video calls and to be seen by Nadia. The next steps will be the functional recovery of breathing and nutrition”.

Further updates in the following days.
