    “It was a great weekend. Today we gave it all and an excellent result came; we knew we could repeat the same type of race as yesterday, but it’s not a given over a 26-lap distance. We’re leaving Thailand with plenty of points and awareness of our strength. Marc and Pecco have something more but we’re working on staying with them at each race: we managed to do so here and we must be very happy with it.”

    “We finished our first official race in the points and close to the top ten. There’s still a lot of work to do, especially with regards to the electronics and on how to work on the bike. We must get closer to the frontrunners bit by bit. To start the season with these temperatures and at this track wasn’t easy, but we did a good job. Now we much start back from Argentina knowing we have to make a step forward in each outing.”

    “Honestly, we did our best, we just didn’t have the pace to take the fight to Marc and we knew we could have been competitive against Bagnaia, at least on the sprint-race distance. Generally speaking, it was already an excellent Saturday from the morning. Thing will be a bit more complicated tomorrow, but we must at least aim at a repeat performance. The factory riders have something more, but we studied them, and we’ll continue to do so to try and stay with them also tomorrow. We’ll do our race and look for consistency, which the most important thing.”

    “I’m happy with having completed my first sprint race. I struggled, because this is a new experience for me but it helped head of tomorrow. I made many mistakes on track, I wasn’t used to race with so many riders ahead of me, but we’re happy. If we can find a couple of tenths tomorrow, then we’ll be competitive, the top ten would be an acceptable result.”

    “To finish ahead of the field is a motivational boost for everyone, but it surely wasn’t our best day on the track. We struggled both in the morning and in the afternoon, as we tried to improve the bike compared to testing with some new set-up adjustments. In the end, we retraced our steps and got back to full speed. Marc looks like he’s from another planet here, and we’ll try to work to be as close as we can to him. The bike works well here, and we need to be solid already from tomorrow. It was a good Friday, but no points are awarded today.”

    “It was a very hot day and there was a bit of tension. I’m relaxed as the final result doesn’t really reflect our work. We were on track almost exclusively with used tyres, we worked well on our race pace, and we have a good base set-up for the race. Surely, we need to improve in the time attack, even though we have a mitigating circumstance: Bezzecchi crashed in front of us during our time attack and a yellow flag situation also made things complicated this afternoon. It won’t be easy tomorrow with Bagnaia in Q1, but we’ll give our 100%: it’s key to start close to the front.”
