It’s the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival and is phenomenal!

Bikes are included as an integral part of the programme.  World GP Bike Legends provided a popular addition last year and set to return in 2017 with Wayne Gardner, Freddie Spencer and more, plus there are a number of bike manufacturers joining too.   We’re delighted to confirm that the Ace Cafe London has teamed-up with the event to create “Ace Corner Silverstone Classic” this year planned to include with a ‘mods and rockers’ bike and scooter display.

If you have an appropriate “Rockers” bike or “Mod” scooter, and would like to display it at this extraordinary event, we have a unique booking code that will enable you to access a special display package which includes general admission for 2 (and obviously access for displaying your bike) at just £43 for Friday, £71 for Saturday and £60 for Sunday. These packages offer fantastic value, and discounts apply when booking for more than one day. Contact [email protected] for further details, and for details of the booking code, before the 14th July.

It’s a great event and we’d love to see you there... whatever your two, or three, wheels! Standard general admission tickets are available via the event website (www.silverstoneclassic.com). There’s free parking for all bikes in the public car parks (and if you’re displaying your bike/scooter and trailering it there; free parking for your trailer, too). Join us and be part of this great weekend with us at Ace Corner Silverstone Classic!

Isle of Man TT - Cheese on the Menu... Ace Cafe London teams up with the Isle of Man!

Located for TT fortnight from 27th May to 9th June at the heart of the 2017 IoM TT action, by the Grandstand on the Glencrutchery Road start/finish line,  the Ace Cafe London stand and display includes, from noon on both the 5th and 7th June, hosting cheese tastings with the Isle of Man Creamery.

In the race for taste, Ace Cafe London use Isle of Man Grated Mature Cheddar Cheese supplied by the Isle of Man Creamery, a co-operative of family owned dairy farms and a community at the very heart of the Isle of Man, and whose farm-assured herds supply the purest of milk – farm fresh.

Producing milk and making cheese for centuries, with stories that go back to the time of the Vikings, the Isle of Man Creamery today only uses locally sourced milk to make its award winning range of cheeses.

The Isle of Man Mature Cheddar is a firm bodied, distinctly creamy and full-flavoured cheese with a smooth close texture, matured for at least 10 to 12 months, graded by the Creamery’s experienced cheese graders, it is the cheese of choice at the Ace.

See you racing and tasting, on the island.

  5. Win Copies of 'Big British Bikes'

    Posted on

Teaming up with the publisher Herridge & Sons Ltd, Ace Cafe London has 3 copies of the latest book by renowned, veteran motorcycle author, Steve Wilson, up for grabs as prizes at the cafe.

The 156 page hard-back book, Big British Bikes, copiously illustrated with 200 black and white and eighty colour images, reviews the top-of-the-line bikes of all the major manufacturers of the 1950’s and 60’s, first giving an introduction to the motorcycling scene in the period, with a particular look at the emergence of the Rockers, the black-leather too-fast-to-live-too-young-to-die bikers who developed a culture all their own, inspired indirectly by Marlon Brando behaving badly on his Triumph Thunderbird in the banned-in-Britain 1953 movie The Wild One. Then the motorcycle makers are dealt with alphabetically, with their big bikes described in detail and their performance, handling, strengths and weaknesses discussed.

In addition to a wide selection of archive photographs, specially commissioned colour photography features examples of the outstanding bikes of the period: Vincent Black Shadow, BSA Gold Star, Velocette Venom, Triumph Tiger 110 and T120 Bonneville, Royal Enfield 700 Constellation, BSA A10 Rocket Gold Star, Norton Dominator 650SS and AJS/Matchless 31CSR/G12CSR.

To be in with a chance of winning a copy, spend £5 or more over the counter from 9am on the following dates and receive a raffle ticket. Draws to be held at 3pm on:

    15.1.17 – Bike Day
    12.2.17 – Bike Day
