    This year’s annual Australia Day, held at the cafe on Sunday 28th January 2024, is set to be a fair dinkum occasion and includes Australian tucker on the cafe’s “Specials” menu.
     
    So hop along in your Holden Monaro’s, Ford Falcon’s and Chrysler Royals and Valiant’s to meet Skippy and friends!
     
    Spot prizes are up for grabs on the day for the “Best Australian Car” &  “Best Dressed Aussie”

    Restored + Exclusive 60th Anniversary Bonus Film Featuring Rita Tushingham & The Leather Boys back at the Ace.

    2024 is the 60th anniversary of the release in 1964 of the film "The Leather Boys" and, though it’s been a long time coming, it is now back in stock to include with exclusive bonus film featuring Rita Tushingham and The Leather Boys Back at the Ace.

    The cafe played a leading role in this Sidney J. Furie film, which stars Rita Tushingham, Colin Campbell & Dudley Sutton, utilising many of the cafe’s patrons as film ‘extras’.

    Shooting numerous scenes at the Ace Cafe, Furie, eager to achieve realism, took advice from the local riders. “You’d never find an Ace boy wearing them jeans” he was told one morning.

    Furie’s direction, coupled with strong performances combine to make “The Leather Boys” one of the great British films of the sixties.

    Ace Cafe London’s annual Elvis “Jailhouse Rock” birthday party night features the exceptional singer, songwriter and performer, Paul Ansell. Frontman and “voice” of the rock n’ roll band “No.9” – Paul has worked with many of the rock n’ roll greats, including Elvis’ Sun guitarist, the legendary Scotty Moore.

    With DJ Bill Guntrip on the decks, let’s rock the Ace with the “King”.

    Win a range of prizes including pairs of tickets to attend the cafe’s annual Gene Vincent Tribute Night on Saturday 10th February, meal vouchers for two, and a selection of Ace goodies! To be in with a chance of winning, just retain your door entry raffle ticket. Draw will be held on the evening.

  4. Ace at Verona Motor Bike Expo 2024

    Come and see Ace Cafe London at the 16th annual Motor Bike Expo show, Verona, 19th – 21st January 2024.

    With over 3000 bikes on display, a host of special guests, and attracting over 170K visitors, there is something on display at the show to suit every rider and anyone interested in riding – the world’s leading manufacturers, specialist brands, famous “biking” faces, stars from racing and competitions, as well as guest celebrities from the world’s two-wheeler TV shows.

     Along with an array of Ace Cafe, Rockers, and StoMoCo items, including the critically acclaimed book “Ace Times – Speed thrills and tea spills, a cafe and a culture” by  Mick Duckworth, the Ace at the show celebrates the 60th anniversary of both the cafe racer/ton-up/rockers film “The Leather Boys” released 8th March 1964 and filmed largely at the Ace. Many of the then patrons and their bikes appear in the film, and of the “Mods n’ Rockers” famously clashing at the seaside towns of Brighton, Clacton, Hastings & Margate in 1964.
