1. Fogarty to star at Llangollen Motorcycle Festival on August 1st

   Carl ‘Foggy’ Fogarty MBE, the most successful World Superbike (WSB) racer of all time, will be guest of honour at the Llangollen International Motorcycle Festival - LlanBikeFest 15 on Saturday, August 1st 2015.

   The 49-year-old winner of four WSB titles and eight world crowns will open the two day family-friendly event, spend the day meeting fans and provide plenty of opportunities for autographs and photos. In addition to his unprecedented 59 victories from 219 race starts, he won the fourteenth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2014.

   Carl said: “I’m looking forward to being back in Wales in August for LlanBikeFest. I was at the Llangollen show a few years ago and received a great reception - but now I hear the show is bigger and better, so it promises to be a fantastic weekend for anyone who loves their bikes.”

   The site has previously hosted successful bike shows, the last in 2011, now LlanBikeFest 15 is being organised by a new team of local motorcycle enthusiasts, led by Harry Edwards. Harry said: “The opportunity to meet Carl will be the icing on the cake for what promises to be a fantastic celebration of every aspect of motorcycling.”

   The Llangollen International Motorcycle Festival at the town’s Pavilion is set amid some of Britain’s best biking roads, at the foot of the Horseshoe Pass and its famously bike-friendly Ponderosa Café, and on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.

   On-site attractions will include displays, stunts, demonstrations, trade and club stands, plus beer, bands and evening entertainment. There will also be ride-outs from the site to explore some of the area’s most beautiful roads and scenery.

2. The Manchester Bike Show sponsored by accident advice solicitors

   The biggest indoor bike display in the UK - over 1,000 motorcycles set to gather @ EventCity, Manchester!

   Since its inception in 2012 The Manchester Bike Show sponsored by accident advice solicitors and held at @ EventCity has grown exponentially is size and popularity until this year the venue is about to host the largest indoor bike display currently on offer at any modern motorcycle show in the UK.

As well as the 1,000 plus display motorcycles the show also features an extensive retail village where you can buy everything needed to keep your bike where it should be ..... on the road. 3. THE YOU’VE BEEN NABBED 24 RALLY - 8th – 10th May 2015

   The National Association for Bikers with a Disability (NABD) invite you to their premier annual fundraising event. The best value-for-money biker’s event in the UK!

   The YBN24 rally will feature; twenty-six live bands on three stages, ‘100% Biker’ bike & trike show, a huge stand-up comedy show, 60+ real ales and ciders and a wide range of canned beers, wines and spirits, loads of trade stalls, three discos, children’s entertainment, accessible facilities, hot showers, and the very best company you could wish for!

   Cars at You've Been Nabbed 24:
   We have removed our restrictions on people attending by car in a bid to stop people parking illegally in the local area and walking into the event.

   Police are likely to be clamping-down on illegal parking in the area this year due to complaints.

   Sponsor a Barrel of Ale at You’ve Been Nabbed 24:
   For a mere £75.00 sponsors can have their name, (or company name, club name, logo etc.) on a barrel of real ale or cider throughout the event.

   Sponsors will also be included in the official sponsors list and receive a laminated ‘Certificate of Sponsorship’ from the NABD.

   If you are in a club, why not propose to your fellow members that they sponsor a barrel?

   If you are self-employed and you pay tax, why not sponsor a barrel yourself? Promotional expenses and charitable donations can all be written off against tax.
   If you work for a company, why not talk to your boss about it? It’s very good publicity and it has to feel better than handing your money over to the Tax Man!

4. NW 200 Volunteers

   Volunteer roles at the Vauxhall International 2015 North West 200
   
   As many people know the International North West 200 is supported by an 800 plus team of experienced volunteers. Some work on an annual basis, others during race week itself, with many volunteers coming from other bodies such as St. John’s Ambulance, British Red Cross and MCUI Marshals Association. The role of the volunteer at the NW200 has also widened and the opportunities for anyone wishing to lend their skills as well as learn new ones has increased.

   NW200 work closely with Volunteer Now, the Causeway Volunteer Centre and local groups to develop its volunteer structure and are seeking new volunteers to come on board and get involved with the event.

   We have created a wide range of roles that you can get involved in, there is something for everyone. Outlined below are the roles. A brief explanation is given for each role, including:

5. BRISTOL BIKE SHOW CEMENTS PLACE AS ONE OF THE UK'S FAVOURITES

   THOUSANDS of motorcycle enthusiasts enjoyed two days of bikes, bargains and a brand new classic auction at Shepton Mallet’s Royal Bath & West this past weekend.

   The Carole Nash Bristol Classic MotorCycle Show, which was hampered by flooding in Somerset last year, came back with a bang for 2015 and the sun shone as Charterhouse Auctioneers and Valuers racked up sales totalling more than £250,000 in its debut Bristol bike sale.

   Exhibition manager Nick Mowbray said: “We are delighted with the two days of the event and many aspects exceeded our expectations, particularly the auction which was a resounding success.”

   Among the many highlights was a Vincent Black Shadow motorcycle which sold for £55,000 while several barn-find restoration projects were snapped up including a 1932 Norton machine.

   Charterhouse will host another auction, this time related to classic cars, at the same Somerset venue this coming weekend as part of The Footman James Great Western Autojumble.

   It was also a weekend to remember for Dave Joyce who picked up the prestigious Best In Show award for his 1914 Sparkbrook Roadster while the Rudge Enthusiasts Club took the top prize in the club stand category.

   Dave said: “All I had of the bike originally was the frame which was fished out of a lake opposite the garage I used to work in. It had some damage so I suspect it was in an accident; the gearbox and engine were saved and the frame discarded in the lake. Given how rare it is, and because of the damage sustained, it took me a while to work out what it was, but once I did then I set about restoring and rebuilding it as a retirement project – along with the help of friends – and this is the result today. I found the JAP V-Twin engine at an autojumble but it was sourcing the gearbox that proved difficult. I managed to track one down in the UK but it could well be it’s the only one in the country, it’s that unusual.”

   Alongside the stunning machines were a host of trade and autojumble stands as the event continued its long tradition of bringing together all manner of bikes, parts, spares, riding kit and accessories ahead of a new season of riding and restoring.

   Exhibition manager Nick added: “Last year’s Bristol show was excellent, but there’s no denying it was severely affected by the awful weather conditions encountered by the region in the early part of 2014. It was wonderful to see the crowds come back in huge numbers for what is many people’s favourite two-wheel event of the year.”

   Motoring action returns to the Royal Bath & West very soon with the Footman James Great Western Autojumble taking place on the weekend of February 14-15. Classic Bike Shows’ next event is the Putoline Classic Dirt Bike Show in Telford on February 21-22 and the massive annual Carole Nash International Classic MotorCycle Show takes place at Staffordshire County Showground on April 25-26.
