  1. Leon Haslam comes alive with Motorcycle Live‏

    Posted on

As part of the build up to Motorcycle Live 2015, which comes alive at The NEC, Birmingham on 28 November, Aprilia World Superbike rider Leon Haslam has described the moment he first came alive on a motorcycle.

As the son of former Grand Prix rider ‘Rocket’ Ron Haslam, the 32-year-racer was born into a motorsport family, so it’s hardly surprising that he started his own career at a young age. In the video, the younger Haslam talks about an early career victory in a far-away paddock, although his first overseas win came at an earlier age than you might expect!

Motorcycle Live 2015 will run from 28 November to 6 December. Advance tickets are on sale now, at just £17.50 per adult, £11 for Seniors and £7 for children aged 11-16* (kids aged 10 and under accompanied by a paying adult go free). There is also a £20.50 advance ticket, which includes entry to the show and a choice of Oxford neck wear worth £15. To book, call 0844 581 2345 or visit www.motorcyclelive.co.uk

  2. Calling all Gentlefolk!‏

    Posted on

On Sunday September 27th 2015, more than 30,000 smartly-dressed gentlefolk in over 400 cities will straddle the saddles of their café racers, bobbers, scramblers, other marvellous customs and maybe even a Triumph motorcycle or two, all to raise funding and awareness to help fight prostate cancer.

Last year, over 20,000 participants in 257 cities in 58 countries raised over $1.5 million (USD) for prostate cancer research. The fundraising goal for 2015 is $3 million (USD).

Think you can help raise money? Bring your finest manners, your coolest clothes, your neatest beard, a sense of fun and adventure and enjoy what is sure to be a spiffing old day. And although entry is free, please consider helping our charities by getting your friends and family to sponsor your involvement. After-all it’s what us gentlefolk would do!
