Now in its fourth year, the Honda TT Revolution is fast becoming the must see event at the Isle of Man. Held at the culmination of an unforgettable week of motorcycle racing, the TT Revolution celebrates the Isle of Man TT with an epic closing party that is attended by fans, racers and celebrities alike.

For the 2017 edition of Honda TT Revolution, Honda Motor Europe joins forces with Mixmag – the world’s biggest dance music media brand – to bring the BBC’s Reggie Yates to the island, who will headline the event after the Senior TT on Friday 9th June.

“I’m really excited to head over to the Isle of Man TT races”, explained Reggie Yates, ahead of this year’s event. “It’s an event that has grown year-on-year and I am excited to be a part of it. I’m looking forward to seeing some of the racing too, I have watched some onboard videos from the Honda Racing team and it looks insane! I can’t wait to get over there and experience the Honda TT Revolution for myself and be a part of it”.

  2. June 9th - 11th - Touratech Travel Event

    Posted on

It’s an obligatory date in the calendars of many motorbike fans and adventure riders: The big Travel Event at the Touratech headquarters in Niedereschach, Germany. From June 9th to 11th, visitors from all over the world will be heading to this small town in the Black Forest to enjoy a fantastic event full of entertainment, adventures and conviviality. At the same time, the 2017 BMW Motorrad GS Trophy Qualifier Germany will guarantee even more action on two wheels.

    Touratech Travel Event 2017

At least when it comes to the dimensions, the 2017 Touratech Travel Event will be the biggest event Niedereschach has ever seen as it will take place on two locations: The original grounds and the area around the new sales and logistics centre. Both locations will be connected and will be turned into one huge festival area with about 80 exhibitors and wide-ranging catering options. Ten different food trucks will be offering international specialties in addition to the usual choice of meals.

With BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha, all the big motorcycle manufacturers will attend, and most of them will come with their impressive show trucks. You can not only admire, but also try and test the latest motorcycle models. For bargain hunters, there will be the popular second sale, taking place in its very own hall behind the new building. From Friday to Sunday, the shop opening hours will be extended.

The event will start on Friday, June 9th at 12pm. Part of the programme will be exciting lectures and interesting workshops about tyres, travels, navigation and photography, as well as presentations on the big main stage. There, Touratech Racing will introduce a project that will leave many of you stunned in surprise. Also, the behind-the-scenes tours might be of special interest this year as they will show how many things have changed at Touratech’s. Of course, you can also visit the new logistics centre.

A trials show next to the big polygon tent will be pure artistry on two wheels. Those who like to have some fun with their own bikes can participate in the guided tours, training and ride-outs. All these offers are for free, however, the number of participants is limited. For this reason, an online registration form will be set up at travelevent.touratech.de, being available as of May.

The presentations on the daily agenda promise will be full of adventures. Among others, Black Forest native Martin Brucker will report on his six and a half year’s journey on a BMW G650 Xchallenge, while the renowned photographer Dirk Schäfer will take his fans with him on a tour from Namibia to Kenia (Coast to Coast). Martin Leonhardt brought many exciting stories and great pictures from his world trip as well, being presented on the big stage on Friday evening.

On Saturday evening at 6pm it’s going to be exciting as that’s the start of the spectacular final of the 2017 BMW Motorrad GS Trophy Qualifiers Germany, taking place at the Touratech Travel Event area. There, the best German GS riders will fight for the starting positions for the 2018 International GS Trophy in Mongolia. After the award ceremony, Ramona and Herbert Schwarz will present the new Touratech film about Australia.
Visiting the Touratech Travel Event is free, and so will be the overnight stay on the huge camping ground. Two exclusive hansgrohe shower trucks will upgrade the sanitary facilities providing luxurious shower pleasure.

  3. Have you got your NABD 26 tickets yet?

    Posted on

If not, there is still time...
Tickets will be available if you order by phone 0844 415 4849 up to 3pm Friday 28th April.
Or if you go online www.nabd.org.uk up to midnight Saturday 29th April.

New venue for 2017 - You've Been Nabbed 26 will be held at The Royal Cheshire Showground, Flittogate Lane, Tabley, Knutsford, WA16 0HJ on 5th - 7th May 2017.

The new rally site has hard-standing on two sides so it should not be as vulnerable to being churned-up in wet weather as the old Astle Park site was on two recent occasions.

There are three separate marquees, each boasting live on-stage entertainment, disco and licenced bar. Unlike many other events the marquees are liberally furnished with tables and chairs (because creature-comforts are important though wide clearways are maintained to allow easy access for wheelchair users.

The hardest things to describe about this event are the marvellous party atmosphere and the wonderful level of camaraderie amongst the 3,000+ people in attendance. To understand these things you just have to attend!

The NABD is a registered charity, established in 1991, that helps and supports disabled motorcyclists.

The You’ve Been Nabbed rally is the main annual showcase/fundraising event of The National Association for Bikers with a Disability (NABD).

  4. Important updates for YBN 26 - Directions and other important information

    Posted on

    You've Been Nabbed 26 (5th – 7th May 2017)
The Cheshire Showground, Tabley, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 0HJ

The entrance to the Showground is on Pickmere Lane adjacent to the end of Flittogate Lane. (Not far from Junction 19, M6). Please note that the postcode above will take you to the wrong end of Flittogate Lane.

For several very valid reasons we have been asked by the Police and the Highways people at Cheshire East Council not to use the Windmill Pub junction of the A556 and Pickmere Lane for event traffic coming from the M6 junction 19 roundabout.

If you are coming from the direction of the J19 M6 roundabout you should follow the ‘NABD’ signs along the A556 then fork right onto the A559 into Lostock Gralam for a 3/4mile, then turn right onto Hall Lane. At the first crossroad turn right onto Pickmere Lane the Showground Entrance is on the right two-miles along Pickmere Lane.

Please Note: There is no right turn permitted into Flittogate Lane off the A556.

If you are travelling on the A556 from the direction of Davenham & Chester you can turn left into Flittogate Lane then follow it to the T-junction at the other end and the entrance is 20 yards to your left.

These routes will be signed with “NABD” directional signs.

Be Aware- There are quite a few speed cameras on the A556 in both the Manchester and Chester directions.

The site will be open for Traders and Marshals only from 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 4th.

The rally will officially open to the public at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 5th.

Please remember that NO ALCOHOL OR GLASS BOTTLES will be permitted through the gate (don’t panic the bar prices will be cheap). Please respect this – anyone found with alcohol NOT purchased at the rally will have the items confiscated or be asked to leave the rally.

The enclosed tickets must be handed over for entry to the event. No refunds will be made before, at or after the event for any reason.

Please remember no dogs will be permitted on site (except licensed disability assistance dogs, by prior arrangement only).

If you wish to leave the site at any time please ensure you collect a pass-out from the gate or you will be charged for re-entry.

Car passes can be purchased at the gate (previous restrictions have been lifted). Caravans/mobile homes still need to purchase passes via the NABD office or website. Blue badge holders do not need a car pass, however, they do need their blue badge with them when entering with their vehicle.

We reserve the right to check vehicles for alcohol and/or dogs when you enter the site.
