For this summer, Ducati UK has launched a realm of affordable TriOptions PCP offers spread throughout the model range from the iconic entry level Monster 696 through to the flagship Superbike 1199 Panigale.

Ducati has constantly reacted to customer needs by not only producing market challenging products but also by making its motorcycles more affordable. This has been done by reducing service costs and extending service intervals and by offering a range of Ducati finance options that make the dream of owning a Ducati a reality.

Ducati UK’s latest TriOptions PCP offers range from as low as £85 per month for a Monster 696 up to £199 for the award winning 1199 S ABS Panigale and with competitive finance APR levels ranging between 2.7% - 6.5%. The most recent new Ducati model, the irresistible Hyperstrada, is also included in the campaign. This compelling mix of Motard and practicality is available on the PCP offer at an enticing £115 per month.

Another model often described as compelling is the Diavel. Its heady mix of blistering performance and cruising genetics accompanies the rest of the range in being part of this inviting PCP promotion. Price per month across the Diavel family range is from £139 per month for the Dark, to £169 for the new Diavel Strada, and on to £189 for the range topping Carbon model.

Finally the beloved 848 Superbike range completes the collection of PCP offers with a tempting £119 for the 848 Evo and just £125 per month for the 848 Evo Corse Special Edition.

All prices quoted are for an agreement duration of 37 months. Deposits, APR and fixed interest rates vary depending on model. The promotion runs from now until the end of September 2013. For further details of this PCP offers contact your local dealer or visit www.ducatiuk.com

  2. Ducati Multistrada 1200 takes fourth successive Pikes Peak victory

French privateer racer, Bruno Langlois, takes Ducati Multistrada to 1205 category Pikes Peak victory
•Fourth successive category win for Ducati Multistrada

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 02 July 2013 – The Ducati Multistrada has taken victory in the famous Pikes Peak “Race to the Clouds” event in Colorado for the fourth year in succession with a spectacular win this time for French privateer racer, Bruno Langlois.

Langlois, whose career history includes titles from the Championnat France de Côte in 1985 and Champion de France Promosport 750 in 1990, continues to compete at home in France, but after whetting his appetite with a third place at Pikes Peak last year aboard a Ducati Streetfighter, vowed to return for the victory.

With a helping hand from Ducati West Europe and his local Ducati Dealer, Moto Prestige, Langlois secured the use of a standard 2013 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak – built and named to celebrate the Italian manufacturer’s first win on the mountain - and took the 1205 category win.

The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, or "Race to the Clouds", is situated in a range of the Rocky Mountains, 16km west of Colorado Springs and races from a start line altitude of 2,862 metres (9,389ft) to a finish line at 4,300 (14,100ft).

Langlois used Ducati’s highly awarded Multistrada 1200, which features a unique “4-bikes-in-1” character by combining the technologies of Ride-by-Wire, Ducati Electronic Suspension, Ducati Traction Control and ABS into the four Riding Modes of Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro. The modes, which can be pre-programmed with personalized settings, enable the rider to transform the motorcycle at the touch of a button, even while riding. This touch-button versatility was further enhanced for 2013 with the introduction of Ducati Skyhook Suspension, now proven perfect for the Pikes Peak event as well as impressing Multistrada owners all over the world.

Victory at this year’s “Race to the Clouds” has highlighted the passion and determination for Ducatisti such as Bruno Langlois to embrace the Ducati brand and prove their talent in exciting and memorable events such as Pikes Peak.

Managing Director of Ducati West Europe, Thierry Mouterde, said: “We are very happy to have been able to help make this victory happen for Bruno. As a passionate brand, we were impressed by his determination to win Pikes Peak and we knew that the Multistrada 1200 has a proven track record there. We would like to congratulate both Bruno and Moto Prestige, our Ducati dealer in Ajaccio, for the great work they have done.”

Ducati 1199 Panigale wins “best-of-the-best” in premier design competition: The red dot design awards

•4,662 products assessed for the 2013 edition •Official award ceremony held Monday, 1 July in Essen, Germany •The award-winning Ducati 1199 Panigale to be exhibited in red dot design museum, Singapore.

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 02 July 2013 – The Ducati 1199 Panigale Superbike, an icon of style, innovation and technology has been judged by a jury of 37 experts and awarded “best-of-the-best” within the product design category of the red dot awards, one of the biggest and most prestigious international design competitions.

The 2013 edition of the competition saw a staggering 4,662 products go through the rigorous selection process, with the Bologna-based manufacturer clinching the award for the innovative motorcycle that has further underlined the company’s status as a design icon within the motorcycle industry.

Held at the Aalto Theatre in Essen, Germany, on Monday, 1 July, the glittering awards ceremony was attended by some of the biggest names in the world of design. The highly influential audience enjoyed an intriguing display of jury-selected products, of which Ducati’s 1199 Panigale became the star of the show.

Ducati’s award-winning Superbike will be exhibited for four weeks at the red dot design museum in Germany, at an exhibition in Taiwan and, for one year, at the impressive red dot design museum in Singapore. The  red dot design award is the only international award that boasts two dedicated design museums, in Germany and Singapore, thus giving further visibility and added credibility to awarded product designs.

The 1199 Panigale’s cutting-edge technology and aesthetic brilliance have combined to create a work of art and by going beyond the barriers of motorcycle design, is now enjoying international success. Ducati’s charm has also now spread beyond the boundaries of the motorcycling industry and is fascinating the whole world.

With every single component designed to maximise performance, while achieving aesthetic perfection, the motorcycle’s description further validates its design success. The 1199 Panigale’s shape and form captures light in a way that conveys the dynamism of a body that is solid yet nimble and elegant yet powerful. Its smooth streamlining flows effortlessly from the front fairing to the rear light, artfully housed in the motorcycle’s tail. Even its empty spaces become an essential aspect, with LED lights shaping a surface for the frontal air intakes. Both the engine and exhausts reveal themselves and yet remain hidden, seemingly playing out a subtle game in which exposure constantly interacts with audacious absence. The result expresses the essence of beauty in every last detail leaving the new 1199 Panigale to celebrate Ducati originality, acknowledged by all as the pinnacle of motorcycling design.

“The red dot ‘best of the best’ award acknowledges all the hard work put in by everyone at Ducati R&D for over three years,” commented Andrea Ferraresi, Ducati Design Centre Director, during the prize-giving ceremony. “Moreover, joining the ranks of the award’s top winners has made this product – and Ducati – part of product design history. Every single component has been designed to be performance-oriented and function-specific. Together, all these components form a harmonious, light, visually stunning product. Which is just how a Ducati should be.”

Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of red dot, highlighted how outstanding design capacity and economic success go hand-in-hand: “The winners of the red dot product design award 2013 are the protagonists of fast developments within the very culture of industrial design. The last few days have seen us engaged in the extremely difficult task of selecting the best, most deserving designs. Indeed, it is sometimes just a single detail that makes the difference when it comes to showing off a product’s special qualities. All these creations have been assessed and examined by the expert and critical eyes of an international red dot jury.”

The Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore covers 4000m2 and houses over 2000 products inside one of the world’s greatest contemporary design exhibitions. From 2-28 July, the museum will host the winning products of 2013 in an exhibition entitled “design on stage - red dot award winners: product design 2013”, a unique event that will highlight the latest design trends. The Ducati 1199 Panigale will be a part of the exhibition and visitors will have the opportunity to take a close look at the originality and innovation of this impressive “best-of-the-best” motorcycle in the extraordinary setting of the red dot design museum.
