 A former Coaching Inn, the King's has been offering food and refreshments to guests for over 200 years. Nestling between the Galloway hills and forests to the north, the sweeping beaches of the Solway Firth to the south, the historic market town of Castle Douglas with stunning scenery, castles and stately homes, all around. Open Summer, Tuesday to Sunday 10am till 4pm. Winter: Thursday to Sunday 10am till 4pm. Sundays the bar is open till 6.30pm.
The bar is open on a Friday night for Pool and a pint night, 7.30pm till 11pm. Everyone welcome, even if you don’t want to play pool or drink pints! One Sunday a month live traditional European music.
